Domains & Email Addresses to Safelist for Wayground for Business (formerly Quizizz for Work)

Wayground for Business requires access to specific domains and subdomains to function properly within your organization. Safelisting these ensures that you and your colleagues can use Wayground for Business without interruptions.


Step 1: Run a network check

On a device connected to your network, open:

https://wayground.com/check

This diagnostic tool will verify whether all required domains and services are accessible from your network.

  • Run the check on your devices 
  • If any test fails or the wayground.com/check link doesn't open, check and update firewall settings using the information below


Step 2: Safelist these domains

Ensure that the following domains are allowed through your firewall for both HTTP and HTTPS traffic:

  • wayground.com
  • quizizz.com
  • joinmyquiz.com
  • quizizz.app.link


What about quizizz.com?

All existing links to quizizz.com will automatically redirect to wayground.com. However, both domains should be safelisted to ensure smooth access, especially during this transition period.


Step 3: Safelist these subdomains

To support full functionality, all subdomains of the following domains must be allowed:

All subdomains of wayground.com

Pattern: *.wayground.com/*
You must safelist all subdomains. Here are a few examples:

  • socket.wayground.com
  • media.wayground.com
  • support.wayground.com
  • hi.wayground.com

All subdomains of quizizz.com

Pattern: *.quizizz.com/*
You must safelist all subdomains. A few examples include:

  • info.quizizz.com
  • learn.quizizz.com
  • mail.quizizz.com
  • comms-qfw.quizizz.com


Step 4: Add these email addresses to the allowlist

Add the following email addresses and domains to your allowlist to ensure you receive product updates, reports, and other essential communication.

Individual addresses

  • hello@info.wayground.com
  • hello@learn.wayground.com
  • hello@team.wayground.com
  • hello@hi.wayground.com
  • hello@info.quizizz.com
  • hello@learn.quizizz.com
  • hello@team.quizizz.com
  • hello@hi.quizizz.com
  • hello@comms-qfw.quizizz.com
  • hello@emails-qfw.quizizz.com

Domain-wide wildcards

  • *@mailer.quizizz.com
  • *@mail.quizizz.com
  • *@explore.quizizz.com
  • *@info.quizizz.com
  • *@hi.quizizz.com
  • *@comms-qfw.quizizz.com
  • *@emails-qfw.quizizz.com
  • *@info.wayground.com
  • *@hi.wayground.com

Note: The asterisk (*) represents any sender under the domain (e.g., noreply@mailer.quizizz.com).


Step 5: Verify browser and network compatibility

Ensure the following are supported and not blocked on devices using Wayground:

  • WebSockets are enabled for socket.wayground.com on port 443
  • Cookies are enabled for quizizz.com and all subdomains
  • Cookies are enabled for wayground.com and all subdomains
  • Browser compatibility with:
    • JavaScript
    • HTML5 and CSS3
    • Local Storage
    • WebSockets

Recommended browsers:

  • Chrome (recommended)
  • Safari
  • Firefox
  • Microsoft Edge
  • Internet Explorer 10+


Step 6: Re-run the network check

Once you've updated your firewall and email settings, return to:

https://wayground.com/check

Run the test again on your devices to confirm that everything is working correctly.
