Here are answers to the most common questions about how data from Roleplays is handled, stored, and protected on Wayground for Business.


Data handling and privacy


Q. What kind of data does Wayground collect from Roleplays?

Wayground collects only the data needed to deliver coaching and performance insights, such as transcripts, recordings, and analytics generated within your organization.
Your data is never shared across organizations or used to train Wayground’s global AI models.


Q. Does Wayground collect sensitive or personal customer information during Roleplays?

No. Sales reps are not required to mention any personally identifiable or confidential customer information during roleplays.
If such data is mentioned, it is securely handled and never used for AI model training.


Q. Is our Roleplay data protected under privacy laws?

Yes. Wayground complies with GDPRCCPA, and other applicable privacy regulations. All personally identifiable information (PII) is encrypted, monitored, and logged.


Storage and access


Q. Where is Roleplay data stored?

All Roleplay data is hosted securely on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the US-East-1 (N. Virginia) region. It’s replicated across multiple availability zones for reliability.


Q. Who can access our Roleplay data?

Access is strictly limited to authorized personnel for support or troubleshooting. Employee access to production data is disabled by default and requires formal approval.


Q. Can we control how long our data is stored?

Customer data is retained as long as your account is active. If you close your account, Roleplay data is deleted within three days.


AI model and training data


Q. Is our Roleplay data used to train AI models for other customers?

No. Your recordings, transcripts, and analytics stay within your organization’s environment and are not shared or reused for other customers.


Q. How do you ensure our Roleplay data doesn’t leak to other clients?

Wayground enforces logical separation of customer data at the database and API level using unique identifiers.
All data is encrypted both at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.2+).


Q. Does Wayground redact personal data from Roleplay transcripts or recordings?

Yes. Any sensitive data is masked or de-identified before analysis. This information is not used for AI model training.


Security and continuity


Q. How does Wayground protect Roleplay data from security threats?

Wayground follows a secure software development lifecycle, conducts regular penetration tests, and uses AWS-native monitoring and firewalls to protect your data.


Q. What happens if there’s a security breach?

Incidents are managed through a formal Incident Response Plan, including containment, recovery, and notification according to local regulations.


Q. Is our Roleplay data backed up?

Yes. Data is backed up every two hours and stored across multiple AWS availability zones for business continuity.
